We practice regenerative management on land that we steward and with local farmers that we work with.

Regenerative Practices

Minimize Soil Disturbance.

It’s all about how you use your tools. Our practices keep your soil on your land and we never push away the topsoil. The Forestry Mulcher pulverizes invasive and unwanted brush in place, feeding the soil and enhancing carbon capture.

Control Invasive Species.

No chemicals, period. Maui Land Management removes and controls invasive species through mechanical means. The Forestry Mulcher removes invasive brush by mulching it in place and the chipper transforms invasive trees into wood chips to feed your plants and soil.

Planting Trees.

Planning before planting is key. Maui Land Management partners with experts in agroforestry, silvopasture and native forestry to create realistic plans aligned with best practices that take budget, maintenance and your overall goals into account.

Compost and Mulch.

We are all about compost and mulch! Almost all of our services center around creating mulch and compost for your pasture, trees, gardens and landscape plants.

Rotational Grazing.

Maui Land Management helps to set the stage for rotational grazing by our ranch partners through mechanical control of invasive species in the pastures, silvopasture planting and strategic mowing, when necessary. We also manage a small herd of goats for strategic control of weeds.

Cover Crops.

Once land is prepped with the Forestry Mulcher, cover crops are the perfect next step. We plant and maintain cover crops in advance of planting trees or plants.
